Merit Occupied Japan Vintage Teacup Set

This beautiful eggshell blue background really highlights the uniqueness of the flower that is hand painted and then detailed in gold.  It was hard to take a picture of this one what with all the gold detailing everywhere.  There is not a lot of wear to the hand painted gold leaves or anywhere else that I could find other than normal wear.  It makes the flowers almost three dimensional!    Teacup is 2-1/4" in height and 3-7/8" across the rim.  The saucer is 5-1/2" wide. Scalloped edging accented with gold.
